Enabled Not Disabled a not-for-profit brand that raises awareness for disability related issues world wide. The idea was born out of an angry rant about the lack of opportunities and funding gaps faced by disabled athletes compared to their able-bodied counterparts. This led to the breaking down of the word disabled, which to my understanding breaks into "dis" and "abled". Something felt fundamentally wrong; I couldn't find a positive word that begun with "dis" which got me thinking about a different approach. A radical idea was born - rather than labelling someone as disabled and defining what they can and cant do based on their condition, how about we empower them, ENABLE them! It has since become my mission the challenge the stereotypes around disability, provide new opportunities for others like myself and educate as many people as possible.
